Although the two companies browser share statistics vary widely, but they all show Chrome's market share is greater than IE. According to NetMarketShare statistics, in April this year, Chrome accounted for 41.66 percent of the desktop browser market share, while IE's market share was 41.35 percent. According to statistics StatCounter, Chrome's market share of 60.47%, IE's market share was 13.25 percent. Browser share vastly different statistical reasons the two companies is not the same statistical methods.

In other words, access StatCount monitor each page from which the browser, statistics is the traffic, NetMarketShare statistics is the number of visitors, if you use IE to open a Web site again today, but the rest of the time in use Chrome to access this website, two browser add one point each. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages, Microsoft is also expected to tend to NetMarketShare data.

Since the Edge launch the browser, Microsoft has basically abandoned IE, to focus on the former body. NetMarketShare statistics IE market share at the Edge of the share also forget to come. It alone, Edge accounted for 4.39% of market share. Also, make Microsoft feel depressed, many people after the trial Edge, soon not discarded.
